EnerGuide for Homes Program
Efficiency Nova Scotia (the provincial agency delivering the program) continues to accept new entrants into the EnerGuide for Existing Houses Program. CARP coordinates these audits for Clean Nova Scotia in the south-western region of NS.

The visit is carried out by a fully certified Energy Advisor and consists of the following:
  • An introduction to the program and rebates available.
  • A detailed inspection of energy usage looking at insulation levels, heating & cooling systems, doors & windows and the house a system.
  • A blower door test to find where air leakage is occurring.
  • A brief sit down evaluation and a detailed report a few weeks later.
The audit costs $150 (including HST) and currently there is up to $1500 in provincial and substantial grants available.
