About the Clean Annapolis River Project
Since the Clean Annapolis River Project was formed, we have been working with a number of other organizations throughout Nova Scotia and across Canada. We have posted links to their web sites so that you can see what they are doing to help the environment in their area. We hope that with the addition of the information these sites provide you will be able to live more Earth friendly. A link, as well as a description of the site is provided below.

Environment Canada works directly with the Government of Canada and with organizations and business within Canada on all aspects of the environment, and ways that they can improve their environmental practices.

The Nova Forest Alliance is committed to working towards the achievement of sustainable forest management. To learn more about our activities explore this website.

The Gulf of Maine Council on the Marine Environment fosters cooperative actions within the Gulf of Maine watershed to preserve our common heritage and encourage sustainable resource use for present and future generations.

A site on Canada's Contribution to Addressing Climate Change that contains options for addressing Canada's climate change commitments and seeks input on key issues.

Nova Scotia Environment and Labour works to protect and promote: the safety of people and property; a healthy environment; employment rights; the interests of financial services consumers and pension plan members; and consumer interests and public confidence in the alcohol and gaming services sectors.

Clean Nova Scotia helps Nova Scotians learn more about their environment like Climate Change, Waste Reduction, and Litter Abatement. In 1991, faced with an urgent need to restore damaged coastal environments, Environment Canada initiated ACAP, the Atlantic Coastal Action Program, as a means of mobilizing local communities to address their own environmental and developmental challenges.

Mrs. Nicholson Inc. is the one-woman company founded in 2003 to buy and restore old buildings in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia - Canada’s oldest permanent settlement.
