Broken Brooks: Assessing and Restoring Aquatic Connectivity in the Annapolis River Watershed 2011
Aquatic Connectivity is an important factor for fish habitat as well as other ecological needs. In 2007 CARP initiated the Broken Brooks project to analyze water crossings (e.g. culverts, bridges, dams) for fish passage. It is the hope for this project that all of the culverts in the Annapolis River watershed will be assessed, therefore giving a better picture of the overall aquatic connectivity within the watershed and prioritizing sites that require remedial work. Aquatic connectivity assessments are quickly becoming an ongoing project of CARP's.

Clementsport Dam Removal and Restoration 2011
In September 2011, after 4 years of planning and preparation, the Clementsport Dam was removed. It is estimated that this removal has provided 19.1 kms of accessible upstream habitat for fish access and migration. The status of the removal, restoration and ecological monitoring of the site as of November 2011 is outlined in this report.

Annapolis River 2010 Annual Water Quality Monitoring Report
In 2010, the Annapolis River Guardians completed their 19th year of continuous water quality monitoring on the Annapolis River. Eight volunteers monitored eight sites over the course of the season, which ran from April to November.

2011 River Guardians Report Card
How healthy is the Annapolis River? Are conditions deteriorating or improving? What can we do about it? These are all questions asked by both residents of the Annapolis Valley and visitors. Clean Annapolis River Project (CARP), with the Annapolis River Guardians, a group of dedicated volunteers, monitor conditions in the Annapolis River in an attempt to answer these questions.
