Striped Bass Monitoring
The Annapolis River is one of the few systems left in the Maritimes that supports Striped Bass.

Clean Annapolis River Project and the Nova Scotia Agriculture College are working together to find out why.

Striped Bass (Morone Saxatilis)

You can help by recording when, where and how many Striped Bass you catch. Here is the information we are looking for:
  • Date you were fishing
  • Time you started fishing
  • Time you finished fishing
  • Where you were fishing (name of community, GPS, or map coordinates)
  • Number of Striped Bass caught
  • Fork length of each fish
We are also looking for anglers to submit scale samples as part of a genetics study. We provide log books for recording information and envelopes for scales.
