About the event

Explore the biodiversity of the Annapolis Valley sand barrens. This event is for novice naturalists and open to all ages. Participants are encouraged to collect photo observations as part of the 2021 City Nature Challenge. If you have a smartphone, consider downloading the iNaturalist app in advance.

Dress for the weather!

The goal of the City Nature Challenge is to track biodiversity around the world. This friendly, international competition encourages people to find and document all the plants and wildlife they can find in their "city", using the iNaturalist platform. Kings County and Annapolis County have teamed together to form team Annapolis Valley for the 2021 CNC.

Help put team Annapolis Valley on the map by getting out and documenting nature from April 29-May 3!
