About the event
Join CARP's fish habitat restoration team in the field to visit the recent fish habitat restoration structures we have been working on and discuss why these techniques were selected for the Round Hill River. This is a great opportunity for neighbouring community members to learn about what is happening in their backyards and gain additional insight to the conservation values associated with the Round Hill River!
The tour will take place on November 9, 2021, from 1-2 pm
Group size is limited to 15 participants, so advanced registration is required. As this is an outdoor setting, masks will not be required.
The tour will start where the Round Hill River crosses Highway 201. Parking is available at an old antique shop near the 201 bridge. https://goo.gl/maps/8X1mvD8mVDV3baDv6
We will be walking on a woods trail, in forested areas and potentially in shallow areas of the river. Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing.
In the case of bad weather, the tour will take place on a rain date of November 16, 2021.
